Mac grew up in Cary, NC and graduated from Appalachian State University. He began his career underwriting debt and equity investments at Triangle Capital Corporation before joining Gryphon Investors, where he specialized in raising debt and equity capital. He then transitioned to the investment team at NovaQuest Private Equity, a healthcare-focused PE firm located in Raleigh, NC. Mac also serves as a 1st Lieutenant in the North Carolina National Guard.
